Perth Property Market Strengthens as Sales Activity Rises

Perth’s real estate market has recorded another week of increased activity, with sales volumes rising alongside a gradual lift in property listings. According to the latest REIWA data, both buyer demand and market supply continue to shift, reflecting a steady but active housing environment across the metropolitan area.

Sales Activity Picks Up Across Perth

The Perth property market saw a notable increase in sales transactions for the week ending 14 June 2026, with total activity reaching 669 deals, an increase of 7.4% compared to the previous week. Growth was largely driven by stronger house sales, which rose significantly, while unit and land sales experienced declines.

This mixed performance suggests that detached homes remain the most in-demand segment of the market, while units and vacant land are seeing softer short-term activity.

Listing Levels Continue to Edge Higher

At the end of the reporting week, there were 5,733 properties listed for sale across Perth, marking a 2.9% increase week-on-week. Growth was recorded across houses, units, and land, with vacant land showing the strongest rise in new listings.

Compared to both monthly and yearly figures, overall stock levels remain considerably higher, indicating that sellers are becoming more active while buyers continue to absorb supply at a steady pace.

Rental Market Shows Tight but Active Conditions

Perth’s rental sector recorded 2,331 available rental properties at the end of the week, slightly down from the previous week. Despite the small decline in listings, leasing activity increased, with 661 properties successfully leased during the period, reflecting stronger tenant demand.

Suburbs such as Baldivis, Perth, Rivervale, Scarborough, and Maylands ranked among the most active rental locations, highlighting continued demand across both central and outer metropolitan areas.
